Voici comment certaines églises à Delmas ont celebré les fêtes de fin année entravées par le climat d'insecurité

© Photo: Semence Média Cette année, la célébration des fêtes de fin d'année dans les églises à Port-au-Prince s'est dévoilée un paysage en pleine transformation, influencé par divers facteurs tels que : l'ombre grandissante de l'insécurité, le poids du grand banditisme et la misère accrue. Voici comment la communauté ecclésiastique a pallié l’absence des grandes célébrations habituelles. Les églises, considérées comme des piliers de la moralité se retrouvent plongées dans une atmosphère empreinte d'inquiétude en raison du climat de terreur qui reigne sur Port-au-Prince, freinant beaucoup d'initiatives spirituelles et traditionnelles propre aux célébrations des fêtes de fin d'année. Festival Rezistans, a 4th successful edition

  Progressionist organization, Cricastro, held the 4th edition of Rezistans Festival; a week of "successful" cultural activities, from  20 to march 25, 2023, around the theme: « A goch nou prale » with Kebert Bastien (KEB) as guest of honour. A week of concerts, theaters,  poetry and rap workshops.   This 4th edition took place in various spaces including the Faculty of Law and Economics (FDSE) of the State University of Haiti (EUH), a week of resistance or militancy throughout art. Cultural activities started on Monday, March 20 by a concert with the storyteller « Malaba Pitit Plim » who urged "well-being for all" throughout a tale that reflected  progressionist Cricastro's ideas. What happens to displaced-persons expelled from Hugo Chavez Square?

Expelled from Place Hugo Chavez on November 17, 2022, several dozen of those displaced persons have found refuge in the Delmas 3 Reception Center. They accuse the town hall of Tabarre of being responsible for their miserable fate. Fleeing the gang war in Cité Soleil and other neighborhoods plagued by violence, several hundred citizens took refuge in the public square of Maïs-Gâté , not far from Toussaint Louverture International Airport , on July 8, 2022. A few months after being installed, the authorities carried out their expulsion in conditions deemed infamous. D estitute, a significant part of these residents have been living in the ruins of the delmas 3 Reception Center , since December 2022, forgotten by state assistance.  Sheltered under the ruins of the reception center, their socio-economic and security's situation has not improved in this shattered place.
